Pizza Pans Buying Guide

Black Iron Pizza Pans

Black iron pizza pans are the cheapest pizza pans. They come in 1 inch which is for your thin pan pizzas and your 1.5 inch which is for your deep or thin pan pizzas.

You need to season them before you use them for the first time. Wipe the packaging oil of them,, then coat them in your own cooking oil, and then you need to bake until the small amount of oil has burnt onto the pan and then you need to wipe off any remaining oil that is on the pan. When cooking pizza apply a small amount of oil to stop the pizza sticking.

Black Iron Pizza Pans cannot be put in a dishwasher and should not be allowed to get wet to avoid rust.

Aluminium Pizza Pans

Aluminium Pizza Pans do not need to be seasoned and are dishwasher proof. These pans also come in 1 inch and 1.5 inch.  A good selling point for aluminium pizza pans is that they will never rust or corrode and they are ideal for use in conveyor ovens and deck ovens. It is recommended that you oil them as then this creates a non stick finish

Hard Coated Anodized Pizza Pans

Hard Coated Anodized Pizza Pans heat up very quickly and they are ideal for proofing dough.
